California Academy offers two days of one-on-one hands-on classes with a qualified instructor with 40 years of professional experience.
DAY ONE
Class 101 – Beginning Sewing Machine Repair
- Students will learn the main parts and purposes of a sewing machine and how to diagnose and repair the most common problems.
- Students will also learn how to provide a quick, written estimate for repairs with special emphasis on customer relations.
CLASS VALUE: Students will be able to repair fifty percent of most household machines.
DAY TWO
Class 201 – Advanced Sewing Machine Repair
- Students will learn how to repair the most common problems with high-end machines, including: Singer, Pfaff, Elna, Bernina, Viking.
CLASS VALUE: Graduates will be qualified to repair over ninety percent of most household machines.
Cost per day class is $2000.
Terms: Visa and MasterCard
Upon completion of both classes, the graduate will be awarded a certificate for technical proficiency in home sewing machine repair which will be signed and presented by the President of the Academy, Jim Jacobson.
